Meeting, Event, and Trip Details

Every month we have a new speaker. 

• January 6, 2025: Tyler Morris, Tyler Morris Fly Fishing. Tyler will show us some great fishing on the Gunnison River.
• February 3, 2025: Taylor Edrington, Royal Gorge Anglers. Taylor is famed for his expertise on the Arkansas River. He will present fishing on the Arkansas and other waters where he guides.
• March 3, 2025: Auction Trip Reports. Winners of various trips will talk about their experiences and get us excited about auction later this month!
• April 12, 2025, 1-5 PM:  AUCTION!!!
• April 2025: No regular meeting.
• May 5, 2025: Members of the rodbuilding class will show their new rods and talk about their experiences. There will likely be an additional short presentation, speaker and subject TBD.
• June 7 - PPF Picnic at Manitou Park Lake

April 16, 2025: Dream Stream. Make plans to come fish the dream stream on Wednesday April 16th. We will meet at the 1st main parking lot at 8:00 AM. If Spinney Reservoir is open we can also spend some time there. Lets kick the 2025 fishing season off with a bang. Dream Stream. Make plans to come fish the dream stream on Wednesday April 16th. April 25th – 27th – We are planning an overnight trip to Lake Deweese in Westcliffe on  April 25th to April 27th. The plan will be to leave mid morning on Friday, April 25th and return mid morning Sunday April 27th. We will be camping in the dispersed camping area on the west side of the lake off county road 220. Here is the link to the lake showing the access areas (https://cpw.state.co.us/state-wildlife-areas/deweese-reservoir-swa). Bring your camper or tent and plan on having a great time. It will be cold at night so plan accordingly. Please email me, Kevin Thomason at kuduhunterkudu@gmail.com if you are interested in making the trip and will keep you updated on specific information as the date gets closer. Boats, pontoon boats, fishing from shore are all available for trout, tiger muskie, and smallmouth bass are all available in Lake Deweese. For those wanting to stream fish, Grape Creek and the Arkansas are close by. If you are not able to camp, please come for the day. Food and amenities are available in Westcliffe.
