Open Fly-Tying Night
Wednesday October 1st at 6:00 PM at The Peak Fly Shop
Join us for our first-ever open fly-tying night! Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to fly-tying, we want you to come hang out, tie a few bugs, and share some new techniques and good company with us! Bring your own vise, tools, and materials (a desktop lamp and a small extension cord isn't a bad idea, either), and sit down to share tips and camaraderie. We'll provide some snacks and drinks and room to set up and get tying!
As part of this event, we'll have a short program from Lydia Wickizer on cul de canard - that magical feather we just refer to as CDC. There will be tips on selecting and preparing your feathers, using them in both nymphs and dry flies (wings and collars) and tips on how to fish them. You may opt to tie-along during the program if you like and bring your CDC-related questions.
We're hoping to make this a fun, successful event and see you there every other Wednesday.
Fly Fishing Golden Dorado Class with SET Fly Fishing
Saturday, October 4th at 10:00 AM at The Peak Fly Shop
Come learn about some of the world's most amazing fishing when our friends from SET Fly Fishing stop by the shop with a great presentation on fishing Argentina for the incredible golden dorado. This amazing gamefish is absolutely one of our favorite species and should be on every angler's bucket-list.
The SET boys are on a road show sharing information about their amazing fisheries with video and photos of this stunning experience. This is a free presentation!
At the conclusion of the presentation, we will serve up some empanadas (and maybe a little vino!) and the guys will answer your questions - and maybe even discuss the glorious fly fishing in Patagonia Argentina.
Get there early for best seating!
Every month we have a new speaker.
